Pre-Drywall Inspection
Before the drywall is installed, the Burgess Pre-Drywall Inspection encompasses an exhaustive assessment of over 250 critical inspection points. These inspection criteria encompass local building codes, industry best practices, manufacturer requirements and our own stringent quality standards. Here’s a concise overview of the inspection categories:
- Jobsite: We inspect the foundation, drainage, lot appearances, cleanliness, and safety.
- Roofing: Examination of shingles, roof flashing and attic ventilation.
- Cornice/Deck: Inspection of exterior siding, flashing, trimwork and roof decking for completeness and proper installation.
- Exterior Drainage Plane: Sheathing inspection for proper installation, ensuring all holes are adequately sealed. Thorough examination of window and door flashing for completeness and correct installation.
- Structural Framing: Evaluation of framing per applicable building codes, quality and builder specifications.
- Mechanical: Comprehensive inspection of heating and air conditioning systems, including all HVAC components and ductwork, as well as fireplaces, cooktop venting, dryer venting and vent systems for all components.
- Electrical: Examination of outlet spacing, panel configuration and wiring methods to ensure code compliance and quality.
- Plumbing: Observation of plumbing system tests to identify any leaks, including water supply and sanitary sewer, while ensuring code compliance with regard to installation.
